LNDEN – Raymond H. Parker, 84, a retired farmer in the Linden area, died Saturday in a nursing home at Manhattan Beach, Calif. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Mr. Parker was a graduate of Linden High School. A Linden native, he was born Dec. 2, 1889, a son of William O. and Elizabeth E. Miller Parker. He was married to Elizabeth J. Davis on Sept. 2, 1916. She died in 1970. Survivors include a son, Harold of Manhattan Beach, and four cousins, Mrs. Elsie Thompson of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Clara Harper of Lafayette, Mrs. Ellen Kenniston of Sun City, Calif. and Mrs. Claude Meyers of Washington. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Helms Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Henry Oakes officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 5 and 9 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
